Roblox OAuth 2.0
Link Roblox
LCGrid is a dashboard for running Emergency Response: Liberty County private servers on Roblox. People sign in to LCGrid with Discord, then link their Roblox account so their community's tools know who they are in game.
The whole flow, recorded on lcgrid.xyz with a real Roblox account.
Why LCGrid links Roblox accounts
- The CAD: when staff sign on as a unit, LCGrid matches them to their in-game player, so their position shows on the CAD map and their callsign follows them.
- Moderation and roles: server staff can see which LCGrid member a Roblox player is, without anyone typing a username that could be wrong or someone else's.
What LCGrid asks Roblox for
| Scope | What LCGrid uses it for |
|---|---|
openid | Your Roblox user ID, to know which account is yours. |
profile | Your username, display name and avatar, to show the linked account in LCGrid. |
Nothing else. LCGrid can't see your inventory, your Robux or your friends, and it can't do anything on Roblox as you.
How it works
- You sign in to LCGrid with Discord.
- You open your account menu and press Link Roblox.
- LCGrid sends you to Roblox's own sign-in page at authorize.roblox.com, using the authorization code flow with PKCE and a one-time state value.
- Roblox shows the two permissions above. You press Confirm and Give Access.
- Roblox sends you back to lcgrid.xyz. LCGrid exchanges the code, reads your profile once, then revokes the token straight away. No Roblox token is stored.
- LCGrid saves your Roblox user ID, username, display name and avatar against your LCGrid account. One Roblox account can only be linked to one LCGrid account.
Unlinking
Press Unlink Roblox in the account menu and LCGrid deletes the link. You can also remove LCGrid from Roblox's App Permissions page. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
